Web Based Information and Communication Platform for the support of consensus finding process

Technology should not replace the real contact between individuals, rather, it should support and improve the exchange of information and transactions The research is focused on the longer decision-making processes involving any number of parties, as is to be found administrative procedures. In these cases, meetings are set so that decisions can be made, but the time between the meetings is not used efficiently. Communication and co-operation between the parties could be improved by using electronic systems to exchange information between meetings: web-based communication platforms support the decision-making processes. From the complexity of this problem, it will be possible to define the basic functions which such a system needs to include. This study is based on an investigation into the building regulations governing the construction of new business premises, the theoretical procedures involved and the analysis of the actual processes. The results reveal the possible functions, applications and limitations of an electronic system employed in an administrative procedure.
